The Villa Outside

The villa stands on its own plot of 800m², in a quiet "urbanización" set on a pine covered hillside. Because of its situation the villa has almost total privacy being barely overlooked (we quite happily swim "au naturel"), but enjoys a lovely view down the shallow valley to the sea 1,000m away.

The driveway slopes up to the villa. There's covered car parking for one car in the car port under the master bedroom. A second car can be parked at the top of the drive. There's parking for more cars on the drive or on a small track at the bottom of the drive.

The downstairs living area and the downstairs double bedroom give out onto nayas (covered terraces) leading to the pool area. In the naya outside the downstairs living area is an 8 seater "garden" table + chairs (card games or BBQ eating in the shade) and additional fridge for cold drinks. Plastic glasses, plates, bowels and cups are provided for use around the pool.

The attractive and well maintained pool terrace has borders with shrubs and flowers. The pool is 8m long and 4m wide. The shallow end (nearest the house) is approx. 0.6m deep with 4 steps leading down into the water. The other end is approx. 2.1m deep. There's under-water lighting for night time bathing. The BBQ area has a built in BBQ, sink with running water and lighting for night time use. There are sun loungers and shade umbrellas.

Above the pool area, accessed by a stylish flight of tiled steps is the garden, a small grassed area with lemon and orange trees. Also on this level is the boulodrome, a piste of some 10m used for playing boule or petanque, a heated Jacuzzi (great for winter stays) and an outside shower.
